Printable & Flexible Electronics - Based Solutions for
Connected Homes and Intelligent Buildings
Presented by: Canadian Printable Electronics Industry Association (CPEIA)
Wednesday, April 26, 2017 • 9:10 am - 11:30 am • Monterey Room, Biltmore Hotel & Suites
In 2016, CABA partnered with the Canadian Printable Electronics Industry Association (CPEIA) to develop two (2) white papers that explored emerging applications for printable and flexible electronics (PE) in the intelligent building and the connected home. This workshop will draw on the findings of these two (2) papers to explore how PE can enable or enhance new technologies for these applications, or give rise to all-new applications not feasible with conventional electronics. For commercial properties, we will examine the roles PE can play to evolve the function and operation of key building automation systems: Lighting, Heating, Ventilation Heating and Air Conditioning (HVAC), Fire and Safety. For the residential sector, we will explore how PE can substantially reduce the cost and complexity of adding the intelligent functionality necessary to create a truly connected home that delivers new levels of energy efficiency, convenience and comfort.
