SMART CAMPUS DESIGN AND TECHNOLOGIES: WHAT CAN WE LEARN FROM THE CASE STUDIES?
Thursday, April 27, 2017 • 11:00 am - 12:00 pm • Salon III
Many of today’s building complexes and campuses are designed as interconnected and equipped with technologies to enable intelligent integration and operation of their building services. Advances in IT have enabled the integration of automated controls for connectivity in and between buildings, and also between buildings and smart grids and other services. The concept of a smart and intelligent campus is still relatively new, with little information on impact of technologies and design. This seminar will convene a panel of building owners and technical experts to present and discuss advances the technologies and lessons learned from real case studies of smart campuses; as well as effective business models of industry-designer-owner partnerships.
